All shall be well, etching, 40 x 44cm
£265.00Price
'All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well' is the whole quotation from Julian of Norwich, a twelfth-century female mystic, whose poetic use of language I studied many years ago. This image came to me in a dream some time after my mother died. The figure is emerging from the river, washing her face in her hands. The dream had a deep atmosphere of healing, and the etching speaks of being reborn into a new world, a landscape of beauty and meaning, after a time of darkness.
Etching on 300gsm Somerset Velvet paper.
Edition of 100.
